Rakiura Distilling Co
Rakiura Distilling Company was founded by three locals from Stewart Island, later joined by a woman who brought organization and passion for the place.
They embraced the challenge of distilling on the island, despite its logistical difficulties. Head distiller Dave Patterson says, “With pure rainfall and locally foraged botanicals like manuka, rimu, and horopito, each sip captures the essence of Rakiura, Stewart Island."
